Rap House TV reported that Sauce Walka was recently detained by the police on drug-related allegations. Police reportedly found him in possession of 66 grammes of marijuana and charged him with manufacturing, delivering, and selling the drug with intent.

However, his bail was only put at $5,000, which is lenient given that many members of his crew were recently charged with RICO after their arrest. Although all indications suggest there is no connection, it is uncertain whether these two arrests and the associated charges are connected in any way.

Sauce Walka’s controversy

In the summer of 2009, Mondane was engaged in a gun-related incident. According to court documents, after being accused of shooting and injuring someone at a performance at Texas Southern University, Mondane pleaded guilty to deadly conduct and was sentenced to community supervision. Mondane, then known as “A-Walk,” was a member of the criminal street group “Mash Mode” in 2009, according to information provided to KPRC by Houston Police in 2018.

The Sauce Factory was referred to as a “documented gang” and “known for criminal behaviour” in Texas state court papers from 2018. Mondane responded to the allegations by saying: “I’m going to keep rapping because I know I’m not a gang. I know we’re not a gang, I know that I’m a record label, I know that I’m an artist. I’m not into gang activity or none of that stuff that’s going on, I’m not worried about that, it’s not what’s going on.”

He was taken into custody in February 2023 after police discovered 66 grammes of marijuana in his presence. He was then accused of manufacturing, delivering, and selling the substance with intent.
