After a couple of books last year fell through, Salvador finally made his promotional debut at UFC San Antonio on Saturday. The 2022 Contender Series winner had won four straight fights en route to his octagon debut.

Altamirano was coming off his first victory in the promotion, against Daniel Da Silva. He is also a DWCS graduate.

As soon as the game started, Salvador was almost immediately attacking the legs. He was also coming forward swinging wild, being an unorthodox striker. Eventually, Altamirano timed a good takedown planting Salvador. He was landing short punches in the guard but wasn’t trying to pass the guard.

With nearly a minute to go in the round, Salvador used the cage to get back up. He was throwing plenty of crazy capoeira kicks. It was Altamirano though that landed a wheel kick straight to the chin. The first round ended on the feet with both having their moments.

The second round was a high-paced affair between two creative strikers. It was a much better round for Salvador as his pressure started taking over.

In the last round Altamirano did get a takedown quickly. He landed some ground and pounded but let Salvador back to his feet. In the last thirty seconds, Salvador walked Altamirano down landing hooks to the body, and ended the round in Altamirano’s guard.

However, it was Victor Alamirano taking the decision on the scorecards.
