The former president Donald Trump made a quick pit stop at the renowned Miami Cuban restaurant Versailles after entering a not guilty plea to numerous criminal charges accusing him of hoarding sensitive papers and defying government requests to turn them over.

Crowds cheered Trump outside the Cuban restaurant, a regular on the political circuit. Trump greeted supporters inside the restaurant, while supporters inside changed ‘U.S.A.!’

The former president’s motorcade left Trump National Doral Miami and took off on the journey downtown where hundreds of MAGA supporters and protesters were there to greet him.

During the drive Trump shared his fury with a Truth Social post saying: ‘ON MY WAY TO COURTHOUSE. WITCH HUNT!!! MAGA.’

After leaving the federal courthouse, Trump’s motorcade drove directly to the restaurant on Southwest 8th Street in Little Havana.

Supporters greeted him, taking pictures with him and even singing “Happy Birthday” to Trump, who will turn 77 on Wednesday.

‘Food for everyone!’ the ex-president exclaimed at one point, as he pushed through the crowd of supporters and reporters, noting that a ‘great group’ was assembled.

Asked how he thought it was doing – after spending the day getting arrested, fingerprinted and charged with 37 federal crimes – Trump responded, ‘I think it’s going great.’

‘I think it’s a rigged deal here,’ he said. ‘I’m goint to make a little speech tonight in Bedminster and I hope you’re going to be there,’ the ex-president also said.

Trump and his aide Walt Nauta were both accused of participating in a plot to store sensitive documents at Mar-a-Lago. At Versailles, Nauta accompanied Trump on his walk.

The 76-year-old was detained and had his fingerprints taken at the Miami courthouse, where he later appeared before a judge and entered a not guilty plea to 37 counts.

The ex-president was sat with his attorneys in the first row of U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman’s courtroom, where Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is managing the case for the Department of Justice, was sitting.

Smith has received a number of derogatory labels from Trump, including “deranged psycho.”
