Rex Heuermann of Massapequa, Long Island, has been named as a suspect arrested in connection with the deaths of women discovered along a New York seaside route.
Heuermann will be charged on Friday in Suffolk County court in Riverhead after being arrested late on Thursday night at his house by Suffolk County Police and state police. The charges are yet unknown.

Heuermann’s identification and the possible evidence that might have connected him to the case were not immediately made clear. On Friday morning, there were numerous police officers present at a residence in the Massapequa Park community.
Heuermann claimed to be an architectural consultant and “troubleshooter,” having been born and raised on Long Island and worked in Manhattan since 1987. Je said this in an interview conducted from his midtown Manhattan office and published on YouTube by Bonjour Realty in early 2022.

Actor Billy Baldwin said went to high school at the same time as Heuermann who graduated in the class of 1981. “Mind-boggling… Massapequa is in shock. 23andMe strikes again???,” the Massapequa native wrote in a tweet.
According to the organization’s website, Heuermann, an architect, founded RH Consultants and Associates in New York City in 1994. Catholic Charities, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, American Airlines, and other significant tenants at John F. Kennedy International Airport are listed as his clients in an online biography.

On Friday, police cars were parked along the street of two-story homes in Massapequa Park, and authorities shut off Heuermann’s residence. The action was being captured by neighborhood residents as numerous media outlets were there.
Heuermann’s home is also listed in connection with his business, RH Consultants & Associates. His architecture license was granted in 1996, and according to New York state records, there have been no enforcement actions against him.
