R Madhavan’s stint in acting started with television shows like “Banegi Apni Baat”, “Ghar Jamai” and “Sea Hawks” that eventually led to his way to big screen.
His big screen debut started with Tamil films like Gautham Menon’s directorial debut “Minnale” while “Dumm Dumm Dumm” gave him an image of romantic hero. His first lead role in Hindi film was 2001 released “Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein” that made him an overnight sensation with sudden rise in his female fan who couldn’t resist his dimpled smile and good looks in the film.
The actor was also the part of some of hit Bollywood films like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Rang De Basanti” , Mani Ratnam’s biopic “Guru” and Rajkumar Hirani’s “3 Idiots” and “Tanu Weds Manu”. Many hearts failed when the actor announced his break from acting and returned after three years of sabbatical in 2015 with his comeback film “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”.
