Television actor Shweta Tiwari got married actor Raja Chaudhary in 1998 when she was 19. She divorced him at the age of 27 after accusing him of domestic violence. They have a daughter named Palak born in 2000. She now lives with Shweta.

Shweta reported  that she suffered a troubled relationship characterized by Raja’s alcoholism. She complained that he used to beat her up daily.

The %u2018Kasautii Zindagi Kay%u2019 fame actor again tied the knot with actor Abhinav Kohli in 2013 after dating for almost three years. However, in August 2019, Shweta filed a complaint of domestic violence against Abhinav alleging harassment towards her and her daughter Palak.

Kohli was taken into police custody. Palak later clarified that Abhinav had subjected her to verbal but not physical abuse. The couple parted ways in 2019 but their ugly fights and accusations against each other refuse to stop.

Abhinav and Shweta share a son named Reyansh born in 2016. The child stays with his mother.
