Madhur Bhandarkar, the national award-winning filmmaker is all set to make a comeback with his new film, “India Lockdown”, for which they will start shooting from next week. The movie will cast Prateik Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Sai Tamhankar, Aahana Kumra and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. 

Inspired by true events, Madhur Bhandarkar’s social drama will deal with the emotional, mental and financial disruption that came along with the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. It also features Zarin Shihab and Ayeesha Aimen.

Madhur Bhandarkar made his debut as a director with Trishakti in  1999. He is known for directing films such as Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal and Fashion. However, his last few Bollywood films such as Calendar Girls and Indu Sarkar did not do well at the box office.
