Kevin De Bruyne on Wednesday hinted at the impending arrival of Erling Haaland to Manchester City after completing an emphatic hattrick against Wolves, striking a pose made iconic by 21-year-old Norwegian striker.
City travelled to the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday to play a decisive match in the Premier League title race, but the reigning champions grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck after an early scare.
De Bruyne opened the scoring for City in the 4th minute, but Wolves hit back quickly through Leander Dendoncker in the 11th minute.

Instead of bringing Wolves back into the game, however, the equaliser sparked life into City, who scored two goals in quick succession to establish a comfortable lead.
De Bruyne re-established City’s lead in the 16th minute from a rebound before completing his hattrick in spectacular fashion in the 23rd minute.
Having completed his hattrick, his first in the Premier League and the second of his career, De Bruyne struck a pose made iconic by the prolific Haaland.

The Belgian midfield maestro went on to net yet another goal after his hattrick, and his tribute to Haaland was a fitting one, with the 21-year-old expected to set the Premier League on fire next season.
Since joining Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, Haaland has netted a whopping 85 goals in 88 appearances, and does not like like slowing down any time soon.
Given his prolific goal scoring rate, Haaland’s reported €60 million move to City is being considered a steal, with the forward estimated to have a market valuation of over €150 million.
Haaland will reportedly sign a long-term deal with City that will keep him at Manchester till June 2027. The deal is expected to be officially announced some time this week.
