Actor Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra revealed that the COVID situation hasn’t allowed her to meet her grandchild yet.

“I haven’t seen her. I am here and she is in LA. We do Facetime once in a while. I think she is happy and joyous. This is all I can say for now. But maybe when I go and meet her in the middle of the year, I will be able to answer this better,” Times of India quoted Madhu Copra as saying.

She added that she is always thinking about her.

“I don’t even remember Priyanka and my son anymore. All I think about is the little one,” Madhu added.

Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas welcomed their first child via surrogacy in January.

In a social media post, the couple, who tied the knot in December 2018 in Jodhpur, asked for privacy saying that they want to focus on their family.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” the couple said in a statement that was shared on both their social media handles.

In March, the two made their first public appearance since the birth of the child. They were spotted on the streets of Los Angeles. While Priyanka was seen in a patterned pink tracksuit, Nick opted for a chequered blazer with a black T-shirt and distressed jeans. He paired it up with a cap.
