Several celebrities of the film industry took to social media on Monday to extend their greetings on Kerala’s harvest festival, Onam. The ten-day long festival marks the beginning of the harvest season in Kerala, and celebrates harmony. 

Celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Anushka Sharma and Dhanush took to social media to wish their fans.

In a Twitter post, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Happy Onam .. the harvest festival celebrated in Kerala.”

Southern superstar Kamal Haasan also extended his greetings via Twitter. “Onam marks the beginning of prosperity and happiness for every Malayalee around the world. It is one festival that transcends its own connotations. Priyappatta ellaavarkkum pon ona asamshakal. May life become colourful and joyful again soon,” he wrote.

Tollywood actor Dhanush wrote on Twitter, “Wishing everyone a Happy Onam. May this festival bring abundant joy, immense prosperity and good health in all our lives.”

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty posted a photo on Twitter to wish her fans.

“Wishing everyone a #happyonam ! Happiness and positivity to all,” filmmaker Karan Johar wrote on Instagram along with a photo.

Apart from them, actors Anushka Sharma and Ayushmann Khurrana took to their Instagram stories to wish fans on the festival.
