Business magnate, Elon Musk, in yet another fillip to cryptocurrency Dogecoin started a Twitter poll on Tuesday asking “Do you want Tesla to accept Doge?” This comes within hours of Musk’s commercial rocket company SpaceX announcing that their new satellite will be called ‘DOGE-1’

Within an hour of his 24-hour window for the poll, 1,050,889 people had voted and 40.5 K had retweeted it. The value of Dogecoin is expected to gain a significant boost with this. Musk has the reputation of being the face of the once-obscure digital currency and has also given himself the title of “father of the dogecoin”.
