The comments of the official Twitter handle of The Clarence House of the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were disable was after trolling increased from the fans of Netflix series ‘The Crown.’
The social media account has been getting hate comments and trolling since the fourth season, set in the 1980s, of the Netflix show has premiered, where it shows how Prince Charles cheated on late Princess Diana.
The new season shows Charles cheating on the late Princess with Camilla Parker Bowles and ignoring her mental health issues. After this, fans of Princess Diana and of the show are attacking the Royal couple with snarky memes and rude jokes.
The Clarence House on Twitter in a recent post talked about Duchess Camila’s charity work, where she spoke with a homeless’ charity in Brighton. The comment section on the post’s thread has been switched off amid the excessive trolling.
The comments are enabled for only those accounts that are followed by the Clarence House on Twitter.
Although, the move has not stopped people from trolling the Royal couple as they are quoting the Clarence House’s tweets and letting their opinion know.
