Tim Cook started the Apple Event by welcoming everyone and said “Today, it gets even better.” He then goes on to launch Apple’s next-generation iPads. The new iPads have a 10.2-inch iPad as part of its fall iPhone event. The new iPad will have an A13 bionic chip and will be 3 times faster than the Chromebook and 6 times faster than any android device.

Apart from the iPad, Apple launched a new iPad mini that ditched the home button and sports thinner borders. It also comes in an array of colours, ranging from Purple, Pink to Starlight and Space Gray.
The new iPad Mini has a 40% jump in CPU performance, and 80% “leap” in GPU, Apple said.

The new colours, too, were a huge hit.

With the iPad mini, Apple hopes to build on recent momentum for a once-struggling product category. Tablet had suffered in recent years, but it has come back strongly in the pandemic as people found themselves stuck in the home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As far as the iPad is concerned, it has a truetone flash has been added to improve image quality. iPAD mini will have the capability to record in 4K. The device will also support Centre Stage.
The Apple Event was held at Apple Park, California. This is the second time, a keynote event was held virtually.
