Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic vice-presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris clashed at the vice presidential debate that was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 90-minute debate was divided into nine 10-minute segments and was moderated by USA Today journalist Susan Page.

With proper social distancing protocols put in place, COVID-19 was the first topic that was debated upon. The other issues that were discussed were presidential disabilities, climate change, Supreme Court nomination, the trade war with China, Russia and the raging issue of systemic racism.

Although Wednesday’s debate wasn’t as chaotic as the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, moderator Page had to point several times to the rules for the debate. A moment that provided a humorous relief was when a fly was on Pence’s head for over a minute.
