Punjabi actor-director Sukhjinder Shera died on Wednesday in Uganda. Jagdev Singh, Shera’s assistant confirmed the news of his demise. Shera died at around 2 AM in a hospital in South Africa due to pneumonia.

He landed in South Africa on April 17 as he was visiting his friend in Kenya. His health started deteriorating on April 25 and he had a high fever. Consequently, he was rushed to the hospital where he was later diagnosed with pneumonia, reported Free Press Journal.
Shera started his career in the Punjabi film industry with Virender Singh’s film ‘Yaari Jatt’ and he was last seen in ‘Yaar Bailey’.

Sukhjinder’s sudden demise has sent the industry and fans reeling in shock.
The late actor’s family is seeking help from the central government to bring his body back to Punjab.
