Douglas Davidson was a 27-year-old from Austin, Texas. He gave an audition that perfectly visualizes the human fear response. During his audition Davidson was sweaty and out of breath and was constantly stumbling over lyrics, sounding like he is about to vomit. As for the judges, Paul enjoyed the audition for what it is, but Simon was not impressed.
The audition ended with Simon’s utter befuddlement and the eventual escorting of Davidson out of the room, making it a great source of entertainment. Auditions like this prove the show’s delectable draw.
Renaldo Lapuz:
Showcasing the wild unpredictability of the American Idol auditions, Renaldo Lapuz appeared in a luxurious white suit, cape, and feather hat. His bizarre outfit instantly made Lapuz an unforgettable American Idol legend.

Adam Lambert:

James Lewis’s audition will forever remain hilarious and was popularly called the “Worst American Idol Audition in History.” Everything about the audition was legendary, from James’s enormous yellow suit to his unintentionally hilarious voice and repeated singing of “Let my peeeeople gooooooo.” James’ audition was the show’s most memorable and iconic disaster.
