Britney Spears is controversy’s favourite child, and has held on to the moniker well even at the age of 40. After her Instagram page mysteriously vanished for a couple of weeks, the Toxic hitmaker came back on the social media platform where she posted two explicit pictures of herself sitting in a bathtub.
Some fans critcised her for such images and claimed that this would further disrupt her relationship with her sons. Spears’ former husband, Kevin Federline, spoke to Daily Mail about the racy pictures she often posts on social media and how he explains the situation to their two sons: “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,'” “But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”
Spears’ profile had been disabled on Saturday, which was the same day when an interview was published on Page Six of her former assistant, Felicia Culotta. In the interview, the former assistant revealed that she often writes letters to Spears, but does not know whether the popstar gets them.
On the other hand, the Baby One More Time singer accused Culotta of spreading misinformation about her. Spears spoke on Instagram about the time “when my old assistant talked about how I went through the neighborhood passing out 100 dollar bills when my first song came out !!!” She wondered, “why people lie and make up such things like that!!! I mean it doesn’t get lower than that … why did you say that ???”

Although Spears has been criticised for her pictures by her Instagram followers, her husband, Sam Asghari, has stood by her side. He said that if Spears posting nudes embarrass her children, this will not be the first time that teenagers have been embarrassed by their parents. He further added, “Eventually if not already they will realize their mothers [sic] choices are harmless and an expression of a newly found freedom. There is nothing to be embarrassed [sic] about just lots of things to be proud of .”
