In the upcoming Netflix docuseries trailer centered around the life of Prince Harry and Megan Markle, a photo in which the couple is seemingly being hounded by paparazzies appears, followed by Harry saying “I had to do everything I could to protect my family,” implying that he was protecting them from paparazzies and the notorious British tabloids.

The black and white photos in the Harry & Meghan teaser show a row of photographers wanting to capture the royal couple. But The Sun revealed that the photographers were getting shots of the cast of the Harry Potter series. This photograph appears to be of the 2011 London event for the premiere of the much beloved Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two.
Interestingly, Prince Harry and Megan did not even meet until 2016, and never attended the premiere.
Doug Seeburg, a photographer for The Sun, who is also in the image, confirmed that no royal family members were present at the premiere. “In the Netflix trailer it’s implied the photographers, including me, were trying to get a shot of the royal couple — but that’s nonsense,” Seeburg told the Sun UK. “For a picture from that premiere to turn up in this trailer about Harry and Meghan seems like lazy picture research.”
Royal expert Robert Jobson said, “A photograph used in ‘Harry and Meghan’ Netflix trailer to show paparazzi ‘hounding’ them does – surprise, surprise – in fact, show photographers who were INVITED at a Harry Potter film premiere.”

The trailer shows a streak of several private photographs of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Amongst these is a still of Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton, with Harry and Meghan at the Commonwealth Day service in 2019, a year before the departure of the latter from Royal duties.
The series will be released on Thursday, with revelations about the Sussexes, who quit their royal duties in January 2020.
Netflix is marketing the release of Harry & Megan as a global event, with this six-episode docuseries providing a “never-before-seen look at one of the most-discussed couples in history.”
