Instead of writing a heartwarming speech celebrating Christmas and wishing well to all, US ex-President Donald Trump decided to go for quite an opposite approach, lashing out at the current US government in a series of posts on his Truth Social account.

As Trump took to social media to write about Christmas, he blamed his political rivals for destroying American society and, in particular, for not taking any actions to reduce the illegal migration at the southern border.

“Merry Christmas to EVERYONE, including the Radical Left Marxists that are trying to destroy our Country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation that is illegally coercing & paying Social and LameStream Media to push for a mentally disabled Democrat over the Brilliant, Clairvoyant, and USA LOVING Donald J. Trump,” the former President wrote.

“On this very cold but beautiful Christmas Day, look at our Nation NOW on the Southern Border compared to only a short time ago during the Trump Administration,” Trump continued in his post, adding, “We had the most SECURE Border in our history, versus the ‘horror show’ that is happening now, with record-setting numbers of people, many of them hardened Criminals (including Killers, Human Traffickers, and Drug Dealers), POURING INTO OUR COUNTRY at a rate the likes of which we have never seen before. The USA is dying from within!!!”

Minutes later, in another post, Trump concluded: “TODAY, LIKE NEVER BEFORE, WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE, A FAILING NATION!”

Later in another series of write-ups, Trump accused Democrats stating that they “weaponized the criminal justice system at a level never before seen,” adding that those efforts include “no borders and crooked elections”, claiming the US is in “third world trouble”.

Twitter users flooded the app trolling Mr. Trump following his series of social media posts.

“Ah, yes. Such a presidential way of expressing himself. I can honestly say I’ve never heard such disgusting tripe coming from a former president in my life. I wish they would stop using “former President Trump” and just call him Donald Trump. He doesn’t deserve any honorific,” one person wrote.

“Arrest Trump now before he goes completely insane. I want him to understand that he is in jail when he gets there,” a second user wrote.
