Lynette Hardaway a.k.a Diamond of the pro-Trump entertainers Diamond and Silk died at the age of 51, the sisters’ Twitter account announced on Monday. The news was also confirmed by former President Donald Trump. 

“The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity! Please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family! Memorial Ceremony TBA,” the entertainers’ official Twitter account tweeted with a link to a GoFundMe page to make contributions.

Trump said on his Truth Social platform: “Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond of Diamond and Silk has just passed away at her home in the state she loved so much, North Carolina.” 

He added, “Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”

The real name of Silk is Rochelle Richardson. Both sisters were born in 1971. Diamond made her debut on Thanksgiving Day, according to their 2020 book, Uprising.

According to the autobiography, the sisters grew up “poor.” However, they did have class and taste. And their grandfather and his father were landowning farmers in the Deep South.

The two women shot into popularity during the 2016 election cycle when they overwhelmingly endorsed Trump’s campaign for president. They showed their support for him with commentary on their YouTube podcasts. The duo said that although they were lifelong Democrats, they switched loyalty just to support Trump following his 2015 presidential campaign announcement.
