Berkshire Hathaway confirmed Munger’s peaceful passing in a California hospital, a few weeks before he would have celebrated his 100th birthday on New Year’s Day.

Buffett, expressing the profound impact Munger had on Berkshire Hathaway, stated, “Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom, and participation.”

Who are Charlie Munger’s children?
Beyond his financial pursuits, Munger’s personal life included two marriages and a total of six children. From his first marriage to Nancy Huggins, Munger had three children – Wendy Munger, a former corporate lawyer and trustee of Stanford University; Molly Munger, a civil rights attorney and education advocate; and the late Teddy Munger, who tragically succumbed to leukemia at the age of 9.
Following his divorce, Munger remarried Nancy Barry, with whom he had four children – Charles T. Munger Jr., a physicist and Republican activist; Emilie Munger Ogden; Barry A. Munger; and Philip R. Munger. Additionally, Munger was stepfather to William Harold Borthwick and David Borthwick.
In his later years, Munger, a Republican, shared his perspectives on political matters, advocating for policies like “Medicare for all.” Despite health challenges, including the loss of his left eye, Munger continued to contribute to the fields of finance and philanthropy until his passing on November 28, 2023.
