Jet Airways, Vodafone and other stocks that moved most on March 4
- Jet Airways share jumped 5.00% to close at Rs 81.90
- IndiGo shares settled 0.05% lower at Rs 1,729
- Vodafone Idea share closed 6.67% down at Rs 10.35
Indian equity benchmark BSE index slumped 1,214.96 points
to 53,887.71 during the session after a weak start, It finally closed 768.87
points or 1.40% down at 54,333.81. On a similar note, the broader NSE Nifty
plunged 252.70 points or 1.53% to close at 16,245.
Among sectoral indices, except IT and pharma all other
indices ended in the red with auto, metals, power, capital goods, realty down
over 2-3%. BSE midcap index shed 2.3% and smallcap index fell 1.6%.

trading session:
Jet Airways: The share jumped 5.00% to close at Rs 81.90 after the Jalan-Kalrock Consortium appointed airline veteran Sanjiv Kapoor as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Jet Airways. Currently, Kapoor is the president of Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, will be joining as CEO of Jet Airways from April 4. Before that, he was the chief strategy and commercial officer at Vistara from 2016 until 2019.

InterGlobe Aviation: The shares settled 0.05% lower at Rs 1,729. It dropped nearly 4% on
Friday amid a global selling pressure triggered by escalating tensions between
Russia and Ukraine and rising crude oil prices.
Vodafone Idea: The share closed 6.67% down at Rs 10.35
after the board approved raising funds upto Rs 14,500 crore. According to Nomura,
the fund infusion by Promoter is at a positive premium, it is not enough for
the revival of the telecom company.

Wockhardt: The stock closed 1.54 higher at Rs 345.70.
Wockhardt’s rights issue will open on March 15 and close on March 22. As part
of the rights issue, the company’s special committee of directors for the
rights issue decided to offer up to 33.24 million shares, at a price of Rs 225
per fully paid-up price. Eligible investors will receive three shares for every
10 shares held as of the record date.

Vedanta: The share dropped 5.11% to close at Rs 375.70
after Societe Generale sold 2.24 crore shares amounting to 0.6% of the metal
major Vedanta via open market transactions at an average price of Rs 391.74 for
nearly Rs 880 crore.
