Stocks that should be on your watchlist on Monday, May 9, 2022

  • Sensex dropped 866.65 points, or 1.56%, to 54,835.58, while the Nifty slid 271.40 points, or 1.63%, to 16,411.25
  • On BSE Sensex, six stocks advanced while 24 declined
  • On NSE Nifty, 11 equities advanced while 39 stocks declined

The Sensex dropped 866.65 points, or 1.56%, to 54,835.58, while the Nifty slid 271.40 points, or 1.63%, to 16,411.25 in the previous session.

The Sensex reached a high of 55,070.12 and a low of 54,586.75, respectively. On the index, six stocks advanced while twenty-four declined.

The Nifty traded between 16,340.90 and 16,484.20. On the index, 11 equities advanced while 39 stocks declined.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Tech Mahindra up by 2.21%, Power Grid up by 1.88%, ITC up by 1.83%, SBI up by 0.92% and NTPC up by 0.60%.

On the flip side, Bajaj Finance was down by 4.91%, Axis Bank down by 4.11%, Bajaj Finserv down by 3.49%, Nestle down by 3.34% and Wipro was down by 3.12% were the top losers.

The top gainers on Nifty were Hero MotoCorp up by 2.47%, Tech Mahindra up by 2.17%, Power Grid up by 1.99%, ITC up by 1.76% and ONGC up by 1.27%.

On the flip side, Bajaj Finance was down by 4.90%, Divi’s Lab down by 4.58%, Shree Cement down by 4.44%, UPL down by 4.42% and Tata Motors down by 4.16% were the top losers.

Agro Phos India Limited, De Nora India Limited, Edelweiss Mutual Fund – BHARAT Bond ETF – April 2023, GSS Infotech Limited, and Industrial Investment Trust Limited have made fresh 52 weeks high on Friday.

3M India Limited, Aarti Surfactants Limited, Aavas Financiers Limited, Ahlada Engineers Limited, and Akash Infra-Projects Limited have hit a 52-week low on Friday.

IDEA, YESBANK, SAIL, ZOMATO, ADANI POWER, VISESHINFO, FEDERALBNK, BHEL, PNB and ITC were the most active equities on NSE.

Axis Mutual Fund – Axis Banking ETF, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund – ICICI Prudential FMCG ETF, Invesco India Nifty Exchange Traded Fund, De Nora India Limited and Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited were the top volume gainers.

ADANI POWER, ADROITINFO, AVROIND, BLBLIMITED and DENORA hit the upper price band while 63MOONS, A2ZINFRA, AKASH, ANDHRACEMT and ANKITMETAL hit the lower price band. There were 35 securities that hit the upper band while 172 hit the lower band on May 6, 2022.
