The Sensex jumped 107.73 points or 0.17% at 61,980.72 while the Nifty was up by 6.25 points or 0.03% to close at 18,409.65 at the end of Wednesday’s trading session.
The Sensex moved in a high and low band of 62,052.57 and 61,708.63. A total of 17 stocks advanced against 13 that were declining, and 1 stable on the index.

The Nifty traded in the high-low range of 18,442.15 and 18,344.15. On the index, 21 stocks advanced against 29 that declined.
The broader indices ended mostly red with the BSE MidCap index losing 0.66% and the SmallCap index down by 0.34%. The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were Bankex up by 0.47%, Industrials 0.37%, Capital Goods 0.36%, TECK 0.30%, and IT 0.20%. While Metal down 1.49%, Utilities 1.40%, Power 1.27%, Commodities 1.08%, and Realty 1.03% were only losing sectoral indices on BSE.

The top gainers on the Sensex were Kotak Mahindra up by 2.73%, Dr Reddy Labs 0.92%, Hindustan Unilever 0.87%, Sun Pharma 0.80%, and HDFC Bank 0.80%. While the top losers on the index were Bajaj Finance down by 1.89%, Tata Steel 1.80%, NTPC 1.19%, Bajaj Finserv 1.15%, and Ultratech Cement 0.75%.
The top gainers on the Nifty were Kotak Mahindra Bank up by 2.68%, Coal India 1.34%, HDFC 0.92%, Hindustan Unilever 0.92%, and TCS 0.82%. While the top losers were Apollo Hospital Enterprises down by 2.56%, Adani Ports & SEZ 2.35%, Hindalco 2.34%, Bajaj Finance 2.15%, and Adani Ports & SEZ 2.04%.

Global Health Limited, HDFC Limited, Atul Auto Limited, Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, and Dhampur Bio Organics Limited hit their 52-week high on Wednesday.
Ashapura Minechem Limited, Ksolves India Limited, Hindprakash Industries Limited, TIL Limited, and Welspun Investments and Commercials Limited touched their 52-week low on Wednesday.

Global Health Limited, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bikaji Foods International Limited, and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited were the most active equities on NSE.
The top volume gainers were TCNS Clothing Co. Limited, HDFC Limited, BPL Limited, Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Limited, and KCP Sugar and Industries Corporation Limited.
Transwarranty Fin Ltd-Re, Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited, FCS Software Solutions Limited, Bohra Industries Limited, and Kamdhenu Limited hit their upper price band.

Ganga Forging Limited, Ksolves India Limited, Sadbhav Infrastructure Project Limited, Axiscades Technologies Limited, and DC Infotech And Communication Limited hit their lower price band. A total of 64 securities hit the upper price band, 67 securities hit the lower band and 14 securities hit both the upper and lower bands on November 16, 2022.
