Ukraine makes postal stamp with motto ‘Russian warship, go ****!’ referring to Snake Island face-off

Ukraine’s postal agency, Ukrposhta, revealed on Tuesday that it had created a postage stamp with the motto “Russian warship, go ****!” that went into circulation today.
The agency added in a statement on the Ukrposhta Facebook page that Roman Hrybov, the Ukrainian soldier who said the phrase “Russian warship, go f**k yourself!” on the first day of the war when ordered to surrender by a Russian naval, was invited to the stamp unveiling ceremony.

Hrybov was apprehended by Russian forces and exchanged as a prisoner in a prisoner exchange.
During the war with Russia, the phrase became a popular Ukrainian slogan.
“There would be neither postage stamp nor such strong resistance as exemplified by soldiers from Zmiinyi Island (Snake Island) without him,” the statement read.

The Russian destroyer that bombed Snake Island in the Black Sea on the first day of Ukraine’s incursion has been sunk.
According to the report, which cited Ukrainian military sources, the big patrol corvette Vasily Bykov was destroyed in an early Monday missile attack near the port city of Odesa.
On February 24, a Russian navy vessel requested Ukrainian border guards on Snake Island, some 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the Romanian border, to surrender or “be hit with a bomb strike.”

It was one of the first aggressive military moves in this war that was widely reported in the global media. Since then, Russia’s military aggression has taken the world by anger, surprise, dejected, and Ukraine severely devastated.
