CAT 2020: Over 2 lakh aspirants to appear for exam amid COVID pandemic

  • Students have been asked to wear masks, use santiser and maintain social distancing
  • The duration of the computer-based exam has been increased to 120 minutes
  • The first session will be held at 8:30 am, second at 12:30 pm and the last will begin at 4:30 pm

Over 227,835 candidates have registered to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 that will be held on Sunday. The exam will be held in three sessions for admissions to B-schools across the country, including IIMs.

The exam is being held the coroavirus pandemic and keeping in view the Centre’s guidelines, students have been asked to wear masks, use santiser and maintain social distancing.

The duration of the computer-based exam has also been increased to 120 minutes. Each section, consisting of some multiple-choice questions, have been allotted 40-minutes each.

The first session will be held at 8:30 am, second at 12:30 pm and the last will begin at 4:30 pm. Candidates have been asked to reach exam centres in advance for frisking, verification, and staggered entry. Gates will be closed 15 minutes ahead of the exam.

Admit card printed on an A4-size paper is valid only if the candidate’s photograph and signature images are legibly printed. Check all information mentioned at the admit card. Take along an original id proof along to the exam centre. Use the barcode on the admit card to check the location from the barcode desk.

Aspirants have been asked to follow a certain dress code.
