Google marks Teachers’ Day with a special doodle recollecting school days

Google on Friday (September 5) marked the Teachers’ Day with a special doodle reminding one of the school days. The colourful doodle shows study materials such as a book, pencil, colour plate, ruler (scale), laptop to celebrate the occasion. The birth anniversary of the former President of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India.

In his message on the occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind said teachers are the guiding force for students and true nation-builders.

With sheer perseverance and patience, a teacher helps students comprehend the rich legacy of the country’s culture, he said.

“The changing times call for new methods of pedagogy that may help us equip our younger generation, to learn, explore and contribute more efficiently to the society. I hope that we continue to be guided by our sagacious teachers and build a future of this great nation,” President Kovind said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings to the teacher community on the occasion while paying tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.

“We remain grateful to the hardworking teachers for their contributions towards shaping minds and building our nation. On Teachers Day, we express gratitude to our teachers for their remarkable efforts. We pay tributes to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on his Jayanti,” PM Modi said in his tweet.
