JEE Advanced to be held today: Over 1.5 lakh aspirants to appear for exam
- Nearly 98% of candidates appearing for JEE-Advanced have been allocated examination centres
- The number of exam centres has been increased to 1000
- The applicants will be able to download the JEE-Advanced Admit Card till 9 am on Sunday
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2020 exam will be conducted on Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, which conducts the countrywide entrance exam, released the necessary standard operating procedure (SOP) for exam.
A total of 1.6 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE-Advanced, a senior official of IIT Delhi said, as per PTI reports. Nearly 98% of candidates appearing for JEE-Advanced have been allocated examination centres from the top three choices of cities made by them during registration, according to IIT Delhi.
According to reports, the number of exam centres has been increased from 600 last year to 1000 and the number of exam cities has also been increased from 164 to 222.
The applicants will be able to download the JEE-Advanced Admit Card till 9 am on Sunday.
All candidates are required to fill the COVID-19 Self Declaration (Undertaking) on their JEE Advanced admit cards.
Students must carry masks, gloves, sanitiser with them. They should also avoid carrying any metallic objects inside the exam hall. They may carry a water bottle with them.
To maintain social distancing, candidates will be informed about their room/ lab numbers only after the barcode on their admit cards has been scanned.
