Avril Lavigne, Mod Sun call off engagement a day after singer spotted having dinner with Tyga at NOBU, Los Angeles

Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called off their engagement, a day after the singer was spotted having dinner with Tyga at NOBU, Los Angeles, according to TMZ reports. 

This happened less than a year after Livagne announced her engagement with the American artist, Mod Sun via her social media accounts. She announced this in April 2022. At this time, it’s not certain what led to the split, but there was no cheating on either side.

Earlier this week, photos of Lavigne hugging American rapper Tyga after sharing a meal at Nobu restaurant were also published which went viral immediately. The photos ignited dating rumors between the two musicians. “The two are good friends and have been for some time, but it’s nothing romantic. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split,” TMZ reported citing sources.

While it seems interesting to note when Mod’s representatives reportedly said “They were together and engaged as of 3 days ago when he left for the tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”

The couple got engaged in March last year during a trip to Paris. Mod’s recent album titled “God Save the Teen” had a handful of songs dedicated to Avril. They were last seen publicly together at an event for The Grammys, just a couple of weeks before he left to go on tour.

In a recent interview with E! News, Mod Sun said, referring to Lavigne “I have found that person. I’m with a real grown woman who has gone through it all 10 times over and she makes me a better person.”
