Bigg Boss OTT: Raqesh Bapat opens up about his divorce from Ridhi Dogra

Bigg Boss OTT contestant Raqesh Bapat in a conversation with SpotboyE revealed his ex-wife Ridhi Dogra and his family’s reaction to him joining the Bigg Boss house.

Raqesh said that his former wife Ridhi was worried about how he will survive in the Bigg Boss house. “She is worried about how I will be. She said I don’t know how well you’ll do it as you are very different from the people who go inside,” he said.

Raqesh married his co-star Ridhi in 2011. The duo worked together in Star Plus’ show ‘Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?’  In 2019, the couple announced their divorce. The two remained good friends even after their split.

Raqesh Bapat also revealed how he would handle his fellow Bigg Boss contestants’ personal attacks. 

He said, “My marriage and divorce are all in the open. We amicably had a very natural course of getting out of it and still are very respectful towards each other – no mudslinging happened or is going to happen. Nobody’s pelting stones on each other.”

He also said that none of his friends in the TV industry knew that he would be participating in Bigg Boss OTT. He said that he wanted to keep it a surprise.

Raqesh’s family encouraged him to join the Bigg Boss house. “They have just told me to be me because they know that I can’t fake or be unreal. My strategy will also be to stand up against injustice. Disrespect towards women is something that I really don’t like. I have a strong voice and can be a leader.”

He also added that he is a shy person so his family is a little worried and happy at the same time.
