Billy Graham dies: WWE star’s cause of death, quotes, net worth, career, family and more
WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion Superstar Billy Graham died at the age of 79, ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair announced on Twitter.
According to a GoFundMe page created to support him and his family, Graham had been in the hospital for several months treating a “myriad of very serious health issues” and had spent past few weeks in the ICU. Graham passed away after being taken off life support while his wife and daughter were by his side.
“The Superstar Billy Graham Just Left Us 🙏🏻 THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INFLUENCE On My Career!” Flair tweeted.
After a year in which the legendary wrestler suffered from COVID-19, a potentially fatal ear infection that spread to his skull, lung inflammation, and even renal failure, Graham had recently been put on life support. Graham’s wife had refused to have him removed from life support two days ago, despite the doctors’ insisting to do so.

Many people believe that Graham was the first “sports entertainer” because wrestlers like Jesse “The Body” Ventura and even Hulk Hogan imitated his garish persona. One of the first wrestlers to use steroids heavily was Graham, a decision he later came to regret because years of steroid abuse had a negative impact on his health and the health of other wrestlers. In 2004, Graham was admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Reporter and business analyst Dave Meltzer also tweeted about Graham, saying ,”I am so sad. My entire life, and tons of others from Flair to Hogan to Jesse to tons you wouldn’t know and tons you would changed because of him. Valerie, I just wish you the best, you’re a saint and more people than you know are aware of it.”
