A CISF officer who reportedly stopped Salman Khan at the Mumbai airport last week has been “suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty”, the paramilitary force said on Tuesday. It further denied that he was penalised.

“The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty (sic),” Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took to Twitter to respond to a report by a user.

Salman Khan and actor Katrina Kaif were seen at the Mumbai airport last Thursday. It was speculated that they were leaving for Russia to shoot the international part of their upcoming movie “Tiger 3”.

The video that went viral shows them arriving at the airport separately and being followed by the paparazzi. Salman Khan was reportedly stopped by a CISF officer after he attempted to enter the terminal in a bid to get clearance from the security checkpoint. “Tiger 3″marks the third film of the iconic “Ek Tha Tiger” franchise. The film will also be starring Katrina Kaif. While photos of the two from the sets have been making rounds on the internet, what has left people intrigued is Salman’s bearded disguise in one of the images.

The team has long international shooting schedules planned, including Austria and Turkey.

The first film in the franchise was Ek Tha Tiger (2012), directed by Kabir Khan. Ali Abbas Zafar directed the second part Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). Now, the third film in the franchise is being helmed by Maneesh Sharma. Salman Khan is expected to return to India by the month of October to shoot for Colors TV reality show Bigg Boss 15. The show released its promo, featuring him and veteran star Rekha, on Saturday.
