Taking advantage of the buzz surrounding Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding, the Delhi Police issued a public service announcement on Friday urging people to “keep their passwords as secure as the #VicKat wedding”.

The Delhi Police took to their official Twitter handle to make a tongue-in-cheek remark about the wedding, comparing it to the cybersecurity we should all ostensibly incorporate in our lives, jumping on the bandwagon of memes and tweets bubbling up about the heavy security at the wedding of the two actors.

The public reacted positively to the tweet, with a flood of comments on the social media post. One user wrote, “Ha ha ha.. nice one…” while another commented, “Hahahah… good sense of humour.”

Those who work in law enforcement are typically thought to be grim and serious. However, there have been a few occasions in recent years where police departments have used wit and humour to get their message across.

The anticipation for Vicky and Katrina’s wedding had reached new heights, especially since the couple had kept the entire affair under wraps. The guests at the wedding were told not to bring their phones. Only those with digital security stickers and codes were allowed inside the venue, which were distributed to vehicles transporting guests from the Sawai Madhopur airport and hotels. According to reports, 100 bouncers from Mumbai and Jaipur, as well as Rajasthan police personnel, were stationed inside and outside the fort.

On Friday morning, the couple, who married on Thursday at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, were spotted boarding a helicopter to Jaipur airport. It is not clear whether the couple has returned to Mumbai or has flown straight to the Maldives, as previously reported. After three days of fun wedding shenanigans, both actors’ families have returned to Mumbai.
