Green Day to perform at Cain Ballroom on July 20 for vaccinated audience

America’s top rock band Green Day is going to perform its first rock show after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday. It is going to be an all-vaccinated rock show, which means everyone from artists to audience to crew will be vaccinated against coronavirus. The venue of the show will be Tulsa’s Cain Ballroom.

The concert’s announcement was made at the last minute on Cain Ballroom’s social media pages.

“It’s going DOWN in Tulsa tomorrow night. We’re doing a surprise warm up show at Cain’s Ballroom!! Tickets on sale now,” the post read. 

Those who want to attend the concert can book the tickets on the official website of Cain Ballroom. However, physical tickets will not be issued. 

The surprise concert will be a warm-up before the band starts their Hella Mega Tour this Saturday in Dallas.

It is mandatory for those attending the concert to show vaccination proof. The mandate is due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the US after the Delta Variant is to be affecting the US coronavirus trajectory for the worse.

The new and highly contagious Delta variant continues to be a cause of concern for health experts and countries like the US and New Zealand that were either untouched by COVID ravages or could manage to come out of it due to mass vaccination.

The Delta variant was responsible for deadly waves of COVID-19 in India, the UK, and European countries that are still reeling with the rampageous effect of coronavirus.

Coming back to the concert, Green Day is a rock band formed in the East Bay of California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt

The timings of the show are 7:15 pm (EST) and are expected to be wrapped up by 9:15 pm (EST) on Tuesday.
