Jack Quaid has clarified the facts regarding the rumors of him portraying Johnny Storm in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot, despite reports that have been circulating. “The Boys” star took to social media platform X to post, “Hello everyone. Nope. Not playing Johnny Storm but hey I’m flattered. Now that you’re here though, donate to the @sagaftra foundation if you can!” to set the record straight.

The Hot Mic podcast, hosted by cinema insiders John Rocha and Jeff Sneider, is where the casting news first surfaced. According to the rumors, Quaid, one of the stars of the popular Prime Video series The Boys, would shortly be revealed for the part of Johnny Storm.

The casting of Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) as Sue Storm, Johnny’s sister, was also revealed during the same podcast. Quaid, however, now claims that the report about his casting is untrue in a post on X.

The actor currently voices Clark Kent in My Adventures With Superman and is best known for his role as Hughie in the Amazon Prime series. Paul Mescal, who will star in the upcoming sequel Gladiator 2, had been linked to the Human Torch part before Quaid’s name entered the fray. Austin Butler, best known for playing Elvis, was reportedly said to be interested in the role.

Regarding The Thing, actors like Mila Kunis and Daveed Diggs have been linked to the role recently. It was also recently claimed that Matt Smith, who played Reed Richards in the movie Morbius, had been offered the part. Having said all of this, it should be understood that Marvel Studios has not yet made any official casting announcements.
