Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘The Family Man’ season 2 to premiere in February next year

Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘The Family Man’ on Amazon Prime Video is set to release with its second installment on February 12, next year, PTI reported. The OTT platform also took on its social media handles to announce the news as Bajpayee posted a poster on Instagram.

The first season of the critically acclaimed web series with the likes of Manoj Bajpayee, narrating the story of via his character – Srikant Tiwari, an intelligence officer – released in September 2019. The second season will follow-up on Tiwari’s journey as he intends to balance a high-pressure and also juggle being father and husband.

“Don’t know about the timer here, but we’re exploding with excitement,” the post on Amazon Prime’s official Twitter account read.

Manoj 51, said that this is the franchise’s gift to the audience on New Year.

“The wait is over. This is our New Year’s gift for you. Open it carefully,” he wrote.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the creators and directors of the show asked the audience to stay tuned.

“It’s been a long wait! Thank you for your love and patience. Coming with a gift in the new year… Stay tuned,” their social media post read.

Amazon Prime on Tuesday released the first look of the sequel – a picture of a time bomb reading ‘2021’ as time.

The cast members for the second season include Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, and Shreya Dhanwanthary. It also marks the digital debut of south film star Samantha Akkineni and was wrapped up in March this year, PTI said.
