Money Heist Season 5 official release on Netflix in India on Friday triggered a tsunami of emotional reactions. Minutes into episode 1 and you have already smiled, cried, infuriated, and felt n number of emotions that exist in the world. But what made everyone cry collectively was what seems to be Tokyo‘s death. However, since she is still narrating to backstory, fans are still confused if she is really dead.

Who is Tokyo?
Silene Oliveira, better known by her code-name Tokyo (es. Tokio ), is one of the main protagonists of the Money Heist as well as the narrator of the story. She is a member of the heist crew set to rob the Royal Mint of Spain.
Tokyo’s story starts when she is 14 and joins the dark world of crime with her partner, with whom she successfully pulls out 15 heists.

Tokyo’s boyfriend gets killed in season one in a shootout, which was apparently an outcome of their crime only. Haunted by the death of her ex-boyfriend, she vows to not mix heists with love. However, she quickly falls for Rio, a young and tech-savvy robber.
Tokyo’s character is seen as a strong female who is messed up in life and has been carrying haunts of her dark past to become one of the best criminals in the city.

What happened to Tokyo?
In season 5 part one, Tokyo is seen entering the freezer room as she hunts for her enemies and it suddenly dawns on her that an army has been making holes in the wall from the outer side and as the need of the hour, she decides to take the intruders out.
Tokyo was with Denver (Jaime Lorente) in the frame when she shoots one of the enemies in the leg and the pair attempt to make their escape. But then, the orders come from the army to start shooting through the pantry windows, and bullets start ripping through Tokyo.

The woman screams in pain as she falls to the floor and Rio is shouting her name as she is shot repeatedly. The scene, as per Twitter users, made them cry like never before and reminded many of Naorobi’s death.
