Money Heist season 5 is streaming globally. The popular crime thriller is known for its shocking plot twists and has done remarkably well for a local Spanish show that revolves around a gang of robbers and a mastermind behind their heists. Actors Itziar Ituño (Lisbon), Darko Peric (Helsinki) and Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo) get candid about the show and response it has received worldwide
In an interview, Itziar said she knows how big the ‘Money Heist’ craze is in India. “I’ve seen that. I get chocolate boxes, flowers and letters from India to the Basque Country and I know the show is a huge success in India. We can feel all that love here as well. Of course, I have tons of great women talking to me and sending things to me that it’s a great show,” Indian Express quoted her as saying.
The fifth season shows the gang shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours and the professor has been captured. The current heist was Berlin’s plan and designed by Palermo. This time it is more than a heist. It is bigger and more dangerous. Lisbon, however, being an ex-cop, is there to guide the gang against the army’s plan. What happens next is yet to be seen.
Meanwhile, celebrating the release of ‘Money Heist’, Mumbai Police, known for their witty advertisements, shared a video of their band ‘Khaki Studio’ performing a rendition of the famous song Bella Ciao.
The Spanish song rose to popularity after being featured in Money Heist. They tweeted, “Always trying not to miss out on detections nor on trends & tractions. We’ll be here, never letting the season of safety end, while you race against time to finish this one. #KhakiStudio planning to pull a #heist on your heart one more time with #BellaCiao (sic).”
The fifth season of Money Heist, which was released on September 3, will be divided into two volumes of 5 episodes each.
