National Film Award win of Jersey puts pressure on Shahid Kapoor
- The film received the award for Best Telugu Film at 67th National Film Award
- Navin Nooli was awarded the Best Editor's honour for the film
- Shahid plays southern actor Nani's role in the Hindi remake of the film
Actor Shahid Kapoor congratulated the team of ‘Jersey’ for winning big honours at 67th National Film Award that was announced on March 22. The actor, who is playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Nani’s film, says that it has added extra pressure on him.
Posting a poster of the Telugu film with the awards mentioned on it, Shahid wrote on Instagram, “Huge congratulations to the entire team. Thanks for the extra pressure @gowtamnaidu @nameisnani @shraddhasrinath @sitharaentertsinments.”
‘Jersey bagged the award for Best Telugu Film at the award ceremony that was announced by the Centre for the year 2019.
Navin Nooli was awarded the Best Editor’s honour for the same film.
Shahid’s version of ‘Jersey’ is currently under production.
