Pamela, a love story: Trailer, release date and all you need to know

Netflix is preparing to release Pamela, a love story, on its streaming service. The documentary will tell the story of Canadian-American actress and model Pamela Anderson.

The documentary will also cover a sensitive period in her life when a private video of her with a former husband was stolen and made public.

Anderson will be sharing her own experience in the documentary, according to director Ryan White, but she is not certain of which video and personal journals will be included in the finished product. The videos for the documentary were chosen by the film crew using their own discretion.

The documentary will be available on Netflix on January 31, 2023. Her memoir HarperCollins called Love will also be released on the same day.

The model/actress discusses the persecution she got throughout her life in the two-minute documentary trailer, as well as the infamous honeymoon tape leak with her ex-husband Tommy Lee.

The tape reappeared and gained new attention after Hulu released the Pam & Tommy television series. She commented in the trailer, in reference to the leak:

“I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive and now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick. I want to take control the narrative for the first time.”

Anderson will talk about how the media made fun of her and how the paparazzi questioned whether she was really an actress after the leak in the upcoming release. She will discuss her difficulties and how, in the wake of the traumatic event, she had to piece together a profession. It’s vital to highlight that Anderson won’t be portrayed in the documentary as a “damsel in distress.”

The upcoming documentary will examine Anderson’s highs and lows in life as well as her approach to love. Although her son claimed that his mother loved the thought of falling out of love, he also claimed that falling in love was her favourite thing to do in life.

The teaser also depicts some joyful times she shared with her kids when they were young.

According to Sportskeeda, the model admitted that she was originally concerned about participating in the documentary but later said that she felt empowered as a result of what she had done.
