- She is not battling depression, said her doctor
- The actor lost her husband Dilip Kumar on July 7.
Saira Banu was hospitalised last week following a heart problem called ischemia. Rumour had it that she was refusing to get angiography done and that she was battling depression after the death of her husband, late Dilip Kumar. Her doctor, Nitin Gokhale denied reports and quashed the rumours about depression.
“Saira-ji is not battling depression, plus she is not being difficult at all which in other words means she is not avoiding angiography. The angiography, as I told you last time, will be done at a later date after we control her diabetes. So where’s the question of her saying ‘no’ to it?” Dr Gokhale told the TOI.
He further revealed that the yesteryear actor is now out of the ICU. “She’s gone to a room. She is much better, in fact, fine.”

But we are going with what the doctor says. All said and done, Saira ji is stable and should be out of the hospital soon.”
