Scott Pilgrim: Release date, cast, plot, director, executive producers, and more

Fans of Scott Pilgrim vs the World have been eagerly awaiting the release of the anime series adaptation of the comic. The announcement that the series will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix has only added to the excitement.

The series will be directed by Bryan Lee O’Malley, who also wrote the comic series, and will serve as an executive producer and showrunner. The animation studio Science Saru, known for their work on Space Dandy and Devilman Crybaby, will be animating the series.

Plot

The plot of the series will follow Scott Pilgrim as he battles his way through Ramona Flowers’ seven evil exes, as seen in both the comic and feature-film adaptations. While the storylines will be fairly similar to previous adaptations, the anime medium allows for new opportunities and opens new doors in a fight-scene context.
