Shawn Mendes partied with The Weeknd and DJ Kaytranada in Miami after cancelling his world tour to focus on his mental health.
The artist turned 24 on August 8, 2022. He kicked off his birthday celebrations on August 6, 2020, at the LIV Nightclub in Miami. According to People magazine, he had an “amazing time” partying with The Weekend during the Dawn FM artist’s surprise performance.

The Grammy Award nominee joined DJ Kaytranada onstage and hung out with friends in the DJ booth. A source informed People that Mendes “looked super happy to be there, relaxed and just enjoying the environment”.
Shawn Mendes shared an Instagram post of himself showing off his physique. The artist said that he wants to “ground himself” and focus on his mental health. Last month he postponed three weeks of shows.
He mentioned in a statement shared on Instagram that, “It has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger.” He also added that “I, unfortunately, have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe”.

A source told People that Mendes is “getting help” for his mental health and stated, “Shawn is a very sensitive and caring guy”. The source also revealed that, “When he gets frustrated with things around him, he turns inwards and suffers. He said he is getting help so that is admirable.”
Shawn Mendes uploaded on Instagram on July 27, 2020, the reason for the postponement of the shows saying, “We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much-needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority. This doesn’t mean I won’t be making new music, and I can’t wait to see you on tour in the future.”
