Singer KK left his fans in shock and tears on Tuesday with his sudden death, but his melodies will live on forever.
The 53-year-old died after falling ill during his performance at an event in Kolkata. The singer reportedly collapsed and was rushed to CMRI hospital where he was declared dead.
“KK was brought to the hospital around 10 pm. It’s unfortunate that we could not treat him,” a senior official of the hospital said, according to Business Standard. Doctors suspected “cardiac arrest” to be the cause of the death. However, there has been no official confirmation about the cause of death.

The voice of many hearts, gained fame with his album Pal. The song “Pyaar Ke Pal” became a massive hit, especially with the teenagers. He later moved to working as a playback singer for several movies.
While his debut Bollywood song was Maachis’ “Chod Aaye Hum Voh Galiyan,” he made a big name with the song “Tadap Tadap” for the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was reportedly in tears when he heard KK’s voice for the first time as he sang Tadap Tadap.
Apart from Hindi, KK sang in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati and Assamese.
