Spending her fans into a frenzy, Taylor Swift on Thursday announced that her upcoming album “Red (Taylor’s Version),” one of the most anticipated releases of the summer, will be released a week earlier than scheduled — on November 12.
“Got some news that I think you’re gonna like – My version of Red will be out a week earlier than scheduled (including the 4 disc vinyl) on November 12th !” the popstar announced on her official Twitter handle.

“Can’t wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak,” she added.
Furthermore, Swift also updated her Twitter bio with the new release date, which included lyrics from “Red” fan-favourite single “22”: “Happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time. Nov. 12th, 2021.”
The reworked “Red” album has been touted to be a massive hit, even bigger than “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” which was the first in the series of re-recorded albums from her previous chart-topping hits.

Although the albums feature previously known songs, they have still been massive crowd pullers. The “Fearless” remake delivered 291,000 album-equivalent units when it came out in April, still one of the highest performing debut weeks of this year.
There hasn’t been a single released to preview the new “Red” album. Swift did, however, share an early track from “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” which won’t be released until next year, if not later, with her version of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” also being released in September to coincide with a TikTok meme featuring the song.
Meanwhile, in the latest album, Phoebe Bridgers is set to join Swift for “Nothing New,” while Chris Stapleton will appear on “I Bet You Think About Me,” and Ed Sheeran — who was already featured on the album’s “Everything Has Changed” — will also sing with Swift on “Run.”
“I can’t express my gratitude enough to these artists for helping me bring these songs to life. I can’t wait til we can dust off our highest hopes and relive these memories together,” Swift wrote. “We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet.”
