Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton are engaged: Complete relationship timeline

Actors Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are engaged after dating for nearly three years, PEOPLE reported. Romance reportedly blossomed between the two when they co-starred in the 2019 play Betrayal. Since then, they have kept their relationship pretty much out of the spotlight.

“Everyone is entitled to a private life. I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment, and in my mind I don’t conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate,” the 41-year-old ‘Loki‘ actor had previously said in an interview with The Telegraph about why he doesn’t talk about his romantic relationships.

The duo sparked engagement rumours at the BAFTA Awards earlier this month when Ashton was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.

A look at their relationship timeline – 

August 2019 – After co-starring in the play, the two were spotted together at the US Open, sparking dating rumours. 

September 2021-  The couple was spotted vacationing in Ibiza, Spain. They were photographed sharing a kiss as they took a dip in the water.   

Later the same month, they made their first red carpet appearance together at the 2021 Tony Awards.

March 2022 – 

The two attended the BAFTAs together, holding hands while posing for the cameras. The 37-year-old Velvet Buzzsaw actor was spotted with a large diamond ring on her finger.
