Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam died on September 25, 2020 at the age of 74 at a hospital in Chennai. The singer had excelled in several fields — be it playback singing, composing music, acting or dubbing. Popularly referred to as SPB, he won six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and even got a mention in the Guinness Book of World Record for recording 40,000 songs.
