Veteran writer-director Sagar Sarhadi on Monday died in Mumbai, reported ANI. The 88-year-old was admitted to the ICU of a cardiac care hospital in Sion recently due to a heart problem.

Sarhadi had been previously admitted in the same hospital after suffering a heart attack in February 2018, according to ABP Live.
Sarhadi is known for films such as ‘Noorie’, ‘Bazaar’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Deewana’ and ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai’. ‘Bazaar’, which was his directorial, starred Smita Patil, Farooq Sheikh and Naseeruddin Shah.
Sarhadi was born in 1933 in Abbottabad, which is now in Pakistan and was a veteran IPTA member.
