What happened to Dixie D’Amelio? TikTok star hospitalized in West Hollywood

Dixie D’Amelio, popular American TikTok star, was hospitalized on Thursday after she nearly lost consciousness, TMZ reported.

The entertainment website, citing sources, added that D’Amelio was working in West Hollywood at around 3 PM on Thursday ‘when she felt faint’. An ambulance was called out of caution and she was taken to a hospital. She’s now feeling much better and still plans to attend the D’Amelio family’s shoe launch tonight, TMZ reported.

According to the report, Dixie was dehydrated which caused her to faint, and she received an IV with fluids. The fainting caused the folks around her to be extremely concerned and the fire department was dispatched to Sunset Plaza for a possible seizure.

Dixie’s sister, Charli, told ET at the Footwear shoe launch event, that Dixie is doing better and will in fact be joining the family for the launch.

“She was just dehydrated, and she got some fluids,” Charli told ET. “But she’s gonna be at the D’Amelio Footwear launch tonight, so you will see her. She is coming, she’s just getting ready right now.”

Dixie posted her picture on Snapchat from what appears to be a hospital with a caption “Got too excited about the shoe launch”.

Meanwhile, speaking about the footwear launch, Charli said it’s a celebration of something the D’Amelio team has been working on for some time now. “Tonight is about celebrating everything the entire D’Amelio Footwear team did to make these shoes come to life, and it’s a very exciting night for us — our first D’Amelio brands brand,” she added.
