Renowned disc jockey Jerry Blavat, also known as ‘The Boss with the Hot Sauce’ and ‘The Geator with the Heater,’ has passed away. He was 82 years old.

He died of the consequences of myasthenia gravis and other medical conditions at 3:45 a.m. on Friday at Jefferson-Methodist Hospital’s hospice.

What is Myasthenia Gravis?

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune condition, which means that the body’s immune system unintentionally targets its own tissues. MG interferes with the nerve-muscle connection (the neuromuscular junction).

The ability to voluntarily regulate muscles is lost in MG patients. They feel varying degrees of muscle weakness and weariness. The muscles in the eyes, face, neck, and limbs might not be able to be moved. Lifelong neuromuscular disease, MG.

While there is no known cure, treatments can be beneficial, and some people may experience remission.
